The aim of the bachelor thesis to evaluate construction of public sewer network in the district of Prievidza, Slovakia and to offer proposals for more sophisticated designing and more efficient operation of public sewer networks. The theoretical part of the thesis contains data about the access of the citizens of the Slovak Republic to public sewer networks and provides the overview of sewer system components and devices. The practical part of the thesis describes the history of building of public sewer network in the district of Prievidza to 2015 and gives information about newly built sewer network to 2020. It brings technical solutions for more effective designing and operation of public sewer network in the district of Prievidza. Deficiencies and solutions described in the thesis are also applicable for designing of other public sewer networks within the Slovak Republic.
