The aim of this master thesis is to examine the differences in the participation of various forms of distribution channels in Slovakia and other European countries and determine the expected prospects for the distribution of insurance products in the future in the context of assessing the impact and possible impacts of new legislative changes resulting from current European regulation, as well as in terms of new trends and their tendency for the future. The subject of the research are insurance distribution channels, the object of the research are data obtained from Insurance Europe and the database of financial entities register of the National Bank of Slovakia, as well as the study of Mount Onyx, Capgemini, Deloitte or Nielsen Admosphere, dealing with the examination of the concerns of Slovak clients about insurance in the online environment. Furthermore, the object of research is the analysis of the Slovak insurance market of portal My Android in the use of financial technology in insurance, as well as various professional articles that we have used, such as Versicherung Wirtschafts, Financial Report or Pojistný obzor, on which the work is based in examining this issue. The master thesis is elaborated using methods such as analysis, comparison, descriptive statistics, synthesis, induction and deduction.
