Diploma thesis is concerning an urban design for an area of dump ground in Pezinok, "Nová Jama" in regards of its functionality and it also introduces an architectural design of funky hotel. The aim of this diploma thesis is to use full potential of the area with emphasis on its optimality and create a new social, cultural, sporting environment for a young and middle generation of the whole region. Diploma thesis consists of two main parts -- urban and architectural study. The urban study consists of complex analysis, idea development and consideration of proper function as an input. This is transformed into an urban concept itself. The Architectural study follows the ideological and shape concept of urban study with respect of its external conditions. Further in my thesis I explain the ideological concept in detail, hotel represents the midpoint of the whole area and at the same time it contrasts with the surrounding by its composition. I also focus on the philosophical level of my design, construction, functions disposition, operation efficiency, space bonds and fluency and in the end also the aesthetics of the facades and interior furnishing. Parts of the architectural study are composed hierarchically in following order: wider spacial relations, embedding of the structure into the urban concept, philosophical explanation of the concept in form of simple diagrams, plan of each story with furnishing in scale 1:500 detailed to 1:200, orthogonal elevations of the facades both in plain and rendered view, summary sections and characteristic sections, axonometric view of the structure and its surroundings and functional diagrams in scale 1:1000, detailed design of interior furnishing of the entry hall and bar in plan, sections and elevation, simplified visualizations documenting the spacial forms and photorealistic visualizations of the exteriors. My diploma thesis is composed in regards of current legal regulations stipulated by the law with respect of actual architectural tendency, efficiency and functionality.
