The topic of this thesis is a free time center and art school. The aim of this thesis was to create a multifunctional space for children, which would simultaneously run for several different parallel independent educational processes. La Joie Center offers dance classes,acting classes, painting lessons, library, bookstore and cafe. In this thesis, I focused on an area of the library. The idea was to connect the present with the past and create a library interesting for children and enticing them to the books. The term of the current connection to the past is understood as hardcover books as a past and electronic books as a present. With such a speed of an i-phones i-pads etc. entering into our lives and increasing the potential of information in electronic form, that children are receiving more and more and I must say that even much easier than older generations. Design of the space is easily recognizable and designed so that its users can even chill there, meet friends, expand knowledge, or just watch a lesson of dance, when lifted eyes from the pages of books.
