This master degree thesis is focused on history of traditional Slovak dishes/food, customs, different influences on Slovak cuisine and Slovak desserts. It is based on research of world ceramics and Slovak folk majolika in Modra.The essence of creating design for my product -- ceramic set for desert, is traditional majolika. I used traditional technic such as wheeling, baking, glazing and painting inspired by majolika in combination with button tree wood. I found my path to specific idea of ceramic set for modern contemporary household and patisserie by analyzing these aspects.
