In the diploma thesis we dealt with the issue of time management in the theoretical and practical level. The aim of this diploma thesis was to identify key influences that take time away from business managers. The thesis consists of four chapters. For a better understanding of time management, we devote the first chapter of the theoretical section to a detailed overview of the processing of this topic. Basically, the first chapter is devoted to the current state of the problem at home and abroad. The second chapter focuses on goals and hypotheses, but also describes the material used and methods of examining the thesis. The third part is a practical part of the work, which is based on theoretical knowledge processed in the form of a questionnaire. The proposed questionnaire was filled in through managed interviews by 32 different business managers. Subsequently, we evaluated the questionnaire in a descriptive and graphical way. Based on this, we have designed a concept of the most common factors that take time away from business managers. At the end of the thesis we evaluated the results achieved and defined several steps for elimination of the most common "time thieves" in the work of managers and last but not least we described the theoretical and practical benefits of the thesis.
