Diploma thesis deals with the traffic accidents solving with necessity for liquid hazardous substances pumping. The aim of diploma thesis is to evaluate options of traffic accidents solving with necessity for liquid hazardous substances pumping. Pumping of hazardous substances is very specialized operation and isn´t frequent activity for fire departments units. Firefighters many times don´t have needed knowledge, experiences and also don´t have suitable technique for execution this type of operation. The model situation with simulated nitric acid leakage is solved in thesis. . Sealing and pumping of damaged cistern was done by fire units with firefighters of Duslo cooperation, through special pump VERDERAIR VA 50. This pump can resist of nitric acid effects. There are several processes and methods for pumping damaged cistern. The best process is selected depending on the tank position, degree of cistern damage, size of hazardous substance leakage and surrounding environment. Considering on the increasing trend of the hazardous substances transport by road transport can be expected increasing number of similar interventions in the coming years.
