The diploma thesis deals with the verification of the influence of the selected technical, technological and independent tool factors in the plane milling of the thermally modified wood (ThermoWood) on the energy demanding character (cutting power), as well as on the morphology of the surface creation (Ra) of the cutting process. The theoretical part is focused on the description of heat treated wood, its production and wood processing. The experimental part is focused on the evaluation of influencing factors (tool´s angular geometry, material´s heat treatment, cutting speed, feed rate). In the thesis is described experimental procedure´s work with the description of heat treatment. Last part of the work compares the influence of the individual monitored factors of the foreign woody plant called Meranti in different heat treatment with native wood using tables and graphs from the “STATISTICA 12” program. In the conclusion there is determination of the significance of differences with the recommendations. The most important goal is to find the factor that influences the most the quality and the cutting power.
