The aim of the thesis is to analyze the investment commodities. The thesis is based on theoretical framework of gold, silver, cryptoms, stock and bond funds. The thesis is aimed at explaining the above mention terms and their characteristics. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the issue of gold, its occurrence, importance and role in central banks. The second part of the thesis is devoted with gold as a part of investment portfolio and investment strategies. The research part is focused on the assessment of evaluation of the development of prices of individual investment commodities in the course od years 2014 – 2019.
