The aim of the final thesis was to propose an architectural/interior design of kindergarten located in the area of STU. In the line with the project of architectural conversion of the STU publishing office into the Kindergarten, which was the main task of the previous design studio, I followed the proposed concept on the scale of interior design. Through the analysis of the various case studies I created a concept that includes all the traditional as well as new functions of the kindergarten, which will add on the quality and value of the design itself. The form of the object was shaped by deconstruction of the original building that stems from the urban relations in the area. The proposed form of the building from the exterior side follows the concept of camouflage and children's protection, while opening itself to the inner side. The object has three floors; on the first floor there is located the main entrance and a hall, theatre spaces, community space and two classrooms. On the second floor there are 2 classrooms, a canteen and office rooms. On the third floor there is proposed an exit on the rooftop - where is located a playground and technical spaces. Building as a whole rotates itself around the axis of the inner courtyard that provides the closiness of the building and therefore quiet and safe spaces for children to play. The proposed design of the interior spaces follows outlined philosophy, and so in creating a natural environment for the children that would allow them to select theirs secret nooks and games. The interior is designed so to allow each of them to find its favourite place. None of the interior elements is monofunctional. Within the building there is also proposed a children's theatre and community centre for the young parents - students.
