The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide an overview of a Wild Service Tree that plays a significant role as a stabilizer of the forest ecology due to the wide ecological amplitude, which is inherent to it and therefore determines it as an important wood plant. As a part of the thesis, we dealt with the summary of knowledge from morphology, ecology and spread of the Wild Service Tree within Slovakia and the world. The paper also provides an overview of the Wild Service Tree’s variability in the vegetation of the University Forest Enterprise. With each tree we were determining the key dendrometric units (thickness, height, overall volume, etc.), while we have elaborated tabular reports on their variability from the given values (average, minimum and maximum values of unit). We proceeded similarly in determining the qualitative characteristics of each individual. We investigated the growth of the trunk, its process and possible damage to the trunk of the examined trees, as well as the shape of the crown and the height of its base. In the discussion, we compared the results of the measurements with the values found in other studies dealing with the Wild Service Tree’s variability.
