The main aim of this work is to obtain an overview and understanding of the topic, the current state of the issue, the method and procedure the draft, calculation and construction of every individual type of steel and coupled ceilings. The work contains an overview of support systems suitable for larger ceilings and large margins in the construction. The work is focused at new and innovative solutions, but there are also older solutions described. The authors developed a basic description, benefits, typical margins of the support elements, the main design criteria for the layout, description of the building technology management, a brief description of the engineering, the typical size of the cross section, the height of the ceiling, the materials used for the construction, connect a brief description of fire protection systems. In the conclusion, the authors propose the comparison of advantages and disadvantages. The method applied during the calculation of the support elements are documented via examples proposed.
