ERŽIAK Miroslav: Local (rural) cultural centre [Bachelor thesis] Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Faculty of civil engineering, Department of architecture Consultant and Lead: Ing. arch. Peter Bauer Bratislava SUT 2013 This thesis is dealing with Local (rural) cultural centre topic. The objective was to design project eligible for urban planning and to develop detailed drawings for realization including one floor plan, section view and one construction detail. Designed building is based in Župkov and consists of four segments. The first segment is to be a space for social events with a stage, dressing room and storage. The second segment is to be a foyer with a dressing room for guests. The farther end of this segment is dedicated for a serving room, storage, bathrooms and technical room. The third segment is dedicated bathroom for guests. The last, fourth segment, is basically a separate building designed for town hall. It consists of a conference room, mayor and assistant office, bathrooms, archive. The whole building is designed to become a part of rural environment. It was not easy to align with a rural nature of this place and to adapt to specific cultural signs at early stages of development but over the course of time we managed to align the whole building with it perfectly.
