The topic of the thesis is interior design of Scandinavian institute in Bratislava's Old Town in the historic building Štefánikova 1 The building is currently in poor technical condition, it is therefore necessary to initiate the reconstruction.The project is proposal of processing construction and demolition work, dispozition and design. Part of the elaboration of the thesis is the marketing of Institute too. The aim was to restore the original appearance of the object and make it as many people will interested about it and once again began to serve the people of the city. Design and Marketing Institute is focused on all ages. The project is addressing not only as a library, for people who speak Scandinavian languages but also as the relaxation multifunctional space for all who want to experience something new. Institute on the 1st sublevel and 1st floor offers an extensive library, a small cinema, a room for listening to to music, reading room and coffee-bar. On 2nd floor is located language school with classrooms for individual but group lessons as well as studio for organizing various workshops. 3rd floor is reserved for administration to the needs of the institute with offices for the chief with secretariat as well as smaller offices or cellular offices. The three-story building in the courtyard is reconstructed such as the Brandts gallery with a separate entrance and with a lifting platform for the disabled. . On 4th an 5th floor the luxury apartments are located primarily intended for staff of the Institute. Flats is also available to external customers, as they are equipped with a private elevator and underground garage. The master thesis is designed as a multifunctional building that serves for public purposees.
