The main goal of this diploma thesis was to analyze the hunting management of deer in the hunting area J XII Veľká Fatra, in relation to its abundance and trophy quality for the period 2000 - 2020. In the results, we analyzed the abundance of deer in the area in the last 20 years based on data from hunting statistics. The second point of the result part was the analysis of abundance based on spring strain counts through recalculation by decrease. The third point was the analysis of the trophy quality of deer. At the end of the diploma thesis, we proposed rational measures to improve the hunting management of deer based on the results.
