The main goal of diploma thesis is to analyze structure of foreign trade of the Slovak Republic. We have devoted ourselves to theoretical defining of the basic concepts of the given issue in the introductory theoretical part. We obtained information mainly from domestic literature that covers given issue. The acquired theoretical knowledge was used in the practical part to analyze export, import, trade balance, territorial and commodity structure. In the practical part of the thesis, we have also developed forecast for foreign trade of the Slovak Republic after the year of 2020 and described the changes in the economy of Slovak Republic in period from january to april 2020.We have briefly summarized the results of our thesis and susggested a few measures to support foreign trade of the Slovak Republic in the final part of our diploma thesis.
