The subject of my diploma thesis is the transformation of the castle ruins / Central Italy / . The key issue is to sensitively approach the castle hill with an intervention,serving as a background for the development of tourism in the area. The place of possible intervention resulting from the competition is the whole castle hilland its closest surroundings.The ruin of Roccamandolfi is set in a mountainous natural environment with a strong modern cultural as well as historical background. For this reason, it is achallenge to create a complementary relationship between modern architecture and the local context - the „Place of Dreams“, which offers a strong experience ofthe historical environment along with the comfort of modern times.
