The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to design a conceptual model of the road network of the 2nd military mapping and to create a vector cartographic model of the road network of the 2nd military mapping for the tested area of interest. The map base for creating the vector model was a map layer of the 2nd military mapping published on the National geoportal. Based on the analysis of the road network object of 2nd military mapping we have created a conceptual model of road network of the 2nd military mapping consisting of ten object categories. We have defined metadata for all object categories. The proposed conceptual model was used to create the vector model of the road network of the 2nd military mapping in ArcGIS and we created metadata for each object.
