The aim of the graduation thesis was to create interesting and atractive architectional and urbanistic complex of apartment building, which is situated near Underground stop Zippererstraße of the line U3 and city park Hyblerpark in 11. Wienna district – Simmering. This object should meet the requirements of the "SmartCity Wien" program, which is aimed in particular at maintaining a high quality of life in reducing carbon footprint and negative environmental impacts. It is necessary to observe the conditions of assignment on the ratio of the number of apartments.This particular site is lined with streets: Zippererstraße, Eisteichstraße and Fuchsröhrstraße. At present there are private plots with gardens and shacks. Traffic connection of this area is ideal. Within a 1km radius there is a U3 line underground stop, a tram stop of tram line no.71, a bus stop of bus line no.76A, and the Geiselbergstraße station on the S-bahn S7.The main idea of this design is to make closure to the existing building structure towards the Hybler citypark, while preserving the block type of building. For my role, I determined to find out if the most efficient way of building a parcel is a block way and thus to reach the required number of housing units based on the input conditions. It was big challenge to arrange and design of each building in a in order to meet the conditions of light technology and shading.
