The Master's thesis presents a renovation design of the interior and exterior of the House of Culture Zrkadlový háj which is located on the Petržalka housing estate in Bratislava. The design focuses on the two main objectives. The first one is to solve the layout of particular rooms and places of businesses according to their individual functions and in the main part, where there is a foyer, a café and a multifunctional hall the most optimal layout of the options for various cultural and social events. The second objective is to design the interior within renovation so that it takes into account the original architecture of the building and its interior, particularly in its entrance and representative parts. This is reflected in different materials, floors, lighting technologies, walls, colours and also movables. In other parts on the upper floor such as a kids' playroom, a library, a gallery with a reading room, there is a change in the proposal from the design of the representative spaces into the area with a different function, which is reflected in the change of colours and materials. Solving the access roads to respond the present demands, is also a part of this diploma thesis.
