The bachelor thesis deals with analysis and comparison of elementary school chemistry textbooks. It has two main parts – theoretical and practical, divided into chapters. The first part contains theoretical information about textbook, its structure, function, research and conditions of selection. The practical part describes the method of measuring the didactic equipment of the chemistry textbooks designed by Průcha. The method is applied in the study of textbooks. The values are calculated using the efficiency coefficient. Part of the analysis is also an individual research of image components through their area (cm2). Based on the results, textbooks are compared and evaluated. The analysis can serve as a tool for teachers to select a suitable textbook.
