The objective of the thesis is a design of an urban structure in the locality called Slovany in the centre of Bratislava. The plot is situated in a lucrative area between Račianske mýto and Trnavské mýto with an excellent connection to the bus, trolley bus and tram transport network. One of the pluses of the project is removing of the railway under ground which results in a convenient access to the rail transport. The goal of the project is to create a quality living zone for people with various life styles and needs. The priority is to link living with working and provide a productive place for living and working for the both groups. The result is a design of a polyfunctional residential inner block in the well-functioning organism of a residential complex connected to city roads and underground parking lots. The inner block is linked to the green stretch of a park extending across the whole plot. This gives the residential complex a place for relaxation and leisure activities for both the people with close relationship to nature and the working people. Apart from a spacious park of the public green, the inner block also includes zones of a semipublic character. The purpose is to improve the standard of living in the given locality and bring this area to a new dimension of living, working and relaxation which the centre of a city such as Bratislava undoubtedly deserves.
