The purpose of bachelor thesis is to evaluate the energy expenditure of selected simulated activities of firefighters during the rescue and its comparison with the maximum allowed values, which are given by Decree no. 542/2007 Coll. Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic on details of health protection against physical stress at work, mental workload and sensory stress at work. Conclusion of work is suggest measures to reduce risk of fire-fighters exhaustion at work. The theoretical part deals with the current state of energy expendtiture, load and methods of measurement. The practical part set goals, tasks and methodology of work. The practical part concludes with the findings of energy expenditu-re in the simulated operation of fire fighters during the rescue. The respondent was me-asured higher than standards allows. Measures to adequately rest and rotate rescue units have been proposed toreduce physical activity.
