The main topic of this diploma thesis is design of a smart home control system for optimizing indoor environment, with respect to energy efficiency of the building. The theoretical part of the thesis contains essential informations that are the basis for understanding the issue of internal environment quality. The basis for the smart home design are information technologies, which are described in the thesis for a comprehensive view of smart home management. The practical part is a presentation of a family house technical parameters, that are necessary for design of the optimization. The main goal of practical part is design of smart home control system, from the selection of the control unit platform to programming of the user interface and individual integrations. The functionality of the system is proven in the application part of the thesis, where the control system is integrated into the presented building of a family house. The practical part consists of software and hardware of the system, which will be installed on the presentation panel. Design and manufacture describtion of presentation panel is part of this thesis.
