The topic of my diploma thesis is to create an eco-friendly project of a wooden guest house, which I was progressively preparing through the whole academic year. This guest house is planned as a four-storey building with one completely below ground storey. The roof of the building is green and accessible for the visitors. While working on the project, I tried to design it environment-friendly, economically and energy-saving. I used natural renewable materials with respect to minimum energy consumption and stress on the environment while transportation, processing and the construction itself. This object is situated in a mountain holiday resort by the lake in Austria. It offers board and lodging, social activities and a pleasant relax. The building fulfils thermo-technical requirements of the STN EN 730450 standard and acoustic requirements of the STN 73 0532 standard. The static stability of the wooden constructions is conceptually designed based on the STN EN 1995-1-1 standard.Key
