KRÁLIK, Matúš: Student competition ISOVER 2018 - Residential housing Dubai [Bachelor thesis] Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Faculty of Civil Engineering - Department of Architecture. Supervisor: Ing.arch.Margita Kubišová, PhD. Bratislava SvF STU, 2018. The subject of my final thesis was to design a residential complex for the European inhabitants of Dubai, which belongs to the Federation of Seven Arab Emirates. The assignment was based on ISOVER Multi-comfort home Students Contest 2018 competition. Its aim is to integrate students' creative approach to the concept of energy-efficient buildings at the level of a passive house. For the competition 2018, the range was set at approximately 242 dwelling units, with a different number of rooms, from 1 to 3, with a condition of 50-70 m2 per person. At the same time, however, the gross area must not exceed 40,000m2 and the height of the building must not exceed 45m. A plot of 26,936 m2 was commissioned in the Culture Vilage 2 area on the Gulf Coast. The bachelor thesis contains typological and urban design at study level. The residential housing is divided into six point homes with two technical floors, three typical floors, one recessed floor and a walk-in roof. The parters are equipped for leisure activities of the residents of the residential complex and the visitors of the coast. My proposal contains 240 flats of different sizes from 105 to 173 m2 for 576 inhabitants. The equipment itself is suitable for restaurants, cafes, shops and services. Residential parking is solved directly in the apartment, in front of the apartment and on the technical floor. Visitor parking is located on the terrain with appropriate pre-treatment. The entrances are located on the ground floor of each house, the entrance is possible from the ground floor or from the roof of the first floor. Inputs to the polyfunction are directly from the square that is created in the middle of the complex. The supply is secured from the rear.
