The task of my bachelor work was the restoration, reconstruction of Kmeťovo square in Bratislava. This task did not only require to restore the space of Kmeťovo square, but also the space going towards the church of J.Harminc. Before I started to create a proposal, it was nessecary to analyse the space and afterwards use these analyses and work with them trought the creating of the project. The solved area is situated close to Račianske mýto and is surrounded by residential buildings, student dormitories, an old beer factory and a church, which should be the dominant of this square, but its dominancy is pushed away by the huge parking lot in front of it and the uncared area which devalue this public space. My task was to renovate, restore and reconstruckt this space and make it valuable. After the evaluation of my analyses I created a proposal, which would eliminate the problems and attract people. I divided this space into three ideological areas, which are optically coupled so they create one whole. This public space needed an adequate renovation and a creation of various spaces for relaxation, rest, and also representative and social spaces. I tried to use all aspects in my proposal and with that, creating a public space which can be used multipurposly and it is funkcional as one whole and also attractive for people.
