The subject of this bachelor thesis is to provide a complete design of an architectural work at the level of a project for urban planning and building permit. Specifically, the thesis deals with a design of a musical pavilion nearby the lake of Štrkovecké jazero, in the street Svidnícka ulica of the urban district of Ružinov in Bratislava. This area serves mostly for housing and multifunctional purposes and is complemented by sporting and recreational zones and services. The to-be-designed plot of land comprises a parking lot which visitors and inhabitants of neighbouring buildings normally make use of. The parking lot has been fully replaced by an underground car park in the musical pavilion. As for the neighbouring buildings, they are no more than five storeys high. Within a short distance, there is a multiple-storey building of Hotel Junior which clearly dominates from a compositional point of view. The design of the musical pavilion follows simple architectural principles with functionalist and sometimes even minimalistic features. It does not stand out with its cubic mass, however its colour design provides a clear contrast and special characteristics. The three-storey building of the drawn musical pavilion offers space for basic music education for children and youth. Apart from classrooms, the building comprises a concert hall and resting areas with a café as well.
