Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with forest fires and their environmental impacts. It is divided into several chapters. It deals with the characterization and description of forest fires, the risks and causes of their occurrence, their forms and their immediate or consequential impacts on nature and the environment. In particular, the consequences of forest fires on soil, water, climate and the atmosphere will be mentioned and analyzed. There will also be mentioned the possibilities of current and proposed measures to prevent the occurrence of forest fires, their elimination and legislative measures in relation to the prevention of forest fires and organizational and technical measures for their destruction.
