The goal of my work was to familiarize readers with the problems of mobile mapping systems and their use in forestry but also in other areas. First, I characterized the mapping (mobile), mobile laser scanning, application in the creation of thematic state map work, current trends in mapping. Then I characterized the process of creating point clouds and cameras that get them, dividing ground laser scanners, individual components of MMS, sensors and how they work. I also devoted myself to navigation systems, their use and navigation of MMS. Then there is a characteristic of individual MMS with their main parameters. And then I was dedicated to their use in different areas and in forestry.
