The topic of bachelor work is to point out the possibility used of GIS technologies for voluntary fire brigades in the form of a geoinformation portal, which would lead to more efficient, better quality and greater security in the fire brigade activities.In the first part I deal with explanation of the concept of geoingormation system and what are the possibilities of its use and on what principle it works. Then I explain link between voluntary fire brigades and other elements of the integrated rescue system and how works the sharing of information between them.The second part of the bachelor work consists of the enviromental analysis and design of the content of the geoinformation portal.Bachelor work content information which specific geospatial data and other information could be collected in it. The task of the job is not to design a functional sytem .The task is to point out how it could fund the collection of information where to look for it and that this information can be beneficial not only for voluntary fire brigades but also for the Fire and Rescue Brigade of the Slovak republic.
