[Bachelor thesis] Matúš Žáčik: Technical University in Zvolen, Faculty of Wood Sciences and Technology, Department of Fire Protection. Supervisor: Ing. Veronika Veľková, PhD. Qualification degree: Bachelor. Zvolen: 2019, 73.p. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to point out the cooperation of modern spectral analytical methods in the Fire and Rescue Department. In the thesis are individual spectral analytical methods elaborated, especially Raman method used for the identification of solid, liquid and also powder substances. For specific tasks related to the given activity, the Ministry of Interior of Slovak Republic has procured MB Atego EKOS for Fire and Rescue Department. The technology´s superstructure disposes of various devices for the identification of substances, protection of intervening personnel, tools that prevent outflow and the actual disposal of substances. In the thesis are used concrete reports from interventions that describe deficiencies of a particular instrument used for the detection of substances by Raman spectrometry. The main disadvantage of the device is the inability to identify pure metals and substances in powder form. At the end of the thesis are suggestions for the improvement of PPLS.
