The main topic of the thesis is a analysis of employees motivation in Slovak companies in 2012-2019. In the theoretical part, we defined concept of motivation from the point of view several authors, divided the motivation into internal and external ones. We focused on motivation of employees from the perspective of gender, age and working category. In the practical part thesis we focused on the evaluation of the importance of motivational factors from the perspective of employees. We have defined dependencies for the most important motivational factors. Through the analysis of variance and the Tukey HSD test, we found statistically significant differences between the different categories of employees for the five most important factors. Subsequently, we evaluated the impact of gender, age and working category on employee decision-making.
