Diploma thesis is about a tools management in a small workplace for a wood processing. This thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the divisions of tools, their use, a way of maintenance or materials that were used for a tools production. The practical part deals with a description of machines and tools used in the workplace, finding out the amount of tools, their durability and writing observations and recommendations. For a development of a maintenance plan we conducted a survey of companies that take care about the tools maintenance and we picked the most suitable one. At the end of the thesis, there were developed individual maintenance steps that were used to create a weekly tool maintenance cycle.
