The starting point of the diploma thesis entitled Corporate Social Responsibility is to clarify the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on the basis of theoretical knowledge. The work is divided into five chapters. First chapter focuses on understanding the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility, defines the economic, social and environmental pillars, clarifies the principles of CSR and corporate social responsibility, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of applying this concept. The second chapter deals with the social responsibility of universities also known as the University Social Responsibility (USR). The next chapters focus on the research of the University's Corporate Social Responsibility concept at the Technical University in Zvolen (TUZVO). The main objective in these chapters was to find out to what extent TUZVO identifies with the profiling of a socially responsible university using the USR criteria. The last chapter evaluates the survey results and contains recommendation of improvements.
