Blanka Giertliová, PhD.; Zvolen 2019: 62 s., Qualification degree: Engineer.The aim of the thesis is to verify the possibilities of using pyramidal decompositions in the financial-economic analysis of the company. The methodical procedure is tested on the example of Bučina DDT spol. s r. about. Part of the thesis is characteristic of theoretical basis of financial and economic analysis, its methods and procedures using ratios and consequently pyramidal decomposition by Du Pont analysis. The breakdowns of indicators of return on assets and return on equity were used. At the end of the thesis, the achieved results are evaluated and the advantages and disadvantages of this procedure identified. The main advantage of using pyramidal decompositions is their complexity, high explanatory ability and, last but not least, unambiguous identification of factors that result in the current state of the company. As a disadvantage, their time and process requirements have proven to be disadvantageous.
