The aim of the diploma thesis is the technical and economic evaluation of UKT Zetor Proxima 90 during the wood approaching and concentrating in the conditions of SBU PS Turzovka. In the present diploma thesis there is described timber skidding, forest and mining activities related thereto. Another section of diploma thesis is devoted to the tractor technology and workplace preparation for these technologies of timber skidding. The following section provides basic descriptive variables of individual forest units, information on the approach route and the various parameters of timber skidding. The component part of the thesis is a description of the technical characteristics of the tractor as well as the winch, which is mounted on it. The commonly used working equipment for logging has been used for obtaining the results from experimental measurements. In addition, a stopwatch was used to measure the time and a mobile application to measure the distance. The achieved results of the diploma thesis show that the highest time consumption of all evaluated work activities was the disconnection of the cargo and work in the wood storage. This accounts for 36% of the total time. The results include time data on individual operations, the amount of concentrated wooden mass and economic indicators. At the end of the thesis there is an evaluation the using of reference tractor with recommendations for practice.
