Predmetom záverečnej práce je v nasledujúcich kapitolách priblížiť snahu literárnej družiny Napred o presadenie novej literárnej koncepcie v druhej polovici 19. storočia prostredníctvom almanachu Napred (1871) a časopisu Dunaj (1874). Pri objasňovaní literárneho úsilia Napredistov v prvej kapitole preskúmame spoločenské, politické a literárne okolnosti formovania mladej literárnej generácie Napredu. V druhej kapitole sa zameriame na okolnosti vzniku, vývinu a literárnych sporov almanachu Napred. V ďalšej časti predstavíme členov družiny Napred a ich prínos do vývinu slovenskej literatúry. V tretej kapitole ponúkame okolnosti a dôvody založenia beletristického časopisu Dunaj a záujem Napredistov o tento časopis. V nasledujúcej časti nahliadneme do jeho obsahu a v poslednej časti predstavíme vyjadrenia a názory literárnej kritiky na príspevky uverejnené časopisom Dunaj. V závere zhodnotíme význam literárneho programu mladej generácie vo vývine slovenskej literatúry. Kľúčové slová: Maďarizácia. Hviezdoslav. Napredisti. Časopis Dunaj.

Abstract DENKOVÁ, Janka. „Napredists” and the literary magazine Dunaj (1874) [Final thesis]. Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. Faculty of Arts. Faculty of Slovak Literature. Supervisor: PhDr. Jozef Brunclík, PhD. Degree of qualification: Doctor in the study programme Slovak language and literature. Nitra: FF UKF, 2017, 60 p. The aim of this final thesis is in the following chapters to introduce the effort of literature group Napred, to enforce a new concept of literature in the second half of the 19th century by the mediums of almanac Napred (1871) and the magazine Dunaj (1874). Elucidating of a literary effort of Napredists in the first chapter we will explore social, political and literary circumstances of forming young literary generation Napred. In the second chapter we will aim at the background of the formation, development and literary arguments of the almanac Napred. In the following chapter we will introduce members of the group Napred and their contribution into the development of the Slovak literature. In the third chapter we offer circumstances and reasons of the constitution of the fictional magazine Dunaj and the interest of Napredists in this magazine. In the following chapter we will look at its content and in the last chapter we will introduce manifestations and opinions of literary criticism about the articles published in the magazine Dunaj. In the conclusion we will evaluate the importance of the literary programme of the young generation in the development of the Slovak literature. Key words: Magyaization. Hviezdoslav. Napredists.
