In the bachelor thesis we dealt with the assessment of the flow capacity of the bridge on theVlachovský stream in the southern part of the urban area of Vlachovo, which is located inthe Revúcka vrchovina geomorphological unit. The analyzed flow profile is located underthe state road leading from Rožňava towards Dobšiná. We found out that the flow profile ofthe analyzed bridge could not convert the 100-year flow rate of Q100, but on the other handit would make the maximum flow rate Qk = 5.31 m3.s-1. This flow rate is between the 30-year flow rate Q30 and the 40-year flow rate Q40. There is some sediment deposits on theanalyzed flowing profile, which deteriorates the flow capacity of the bridge itself. Therefore,it is appropriate to pay sufficient attention to this issue as the intensity of floods in theanalyzed area has increased in recent years.
