The diploma thesis called The solution of fire safety of buildings for civil protection deals with the very topical issue of civil protection structures at present. In the theoretical part of the thesis is processed legislation, used procedures for design of fire safety of buildings for civil protection, building technical requirements and methodology of PBS processing. An important part is the introduction of basic disposition and technical requirements for protective structures. In the practical part of the thesis is applied the application of these procedures and principles to a concrete protective structure. According to the stipulated requirements, all necessary measures are proposed to ensure the safety of the building from the viewpoint of fire occurrence, subsequent effective fire intervention and also measures to ensure the gas-tightness and resistance of the shelter in case of an extraordinary event according to the current legislation in the Slovak Republic. The result of the work is an assessment of the factual solution of a concrete double-purpose gas-tight shelter, in the time of peace serving as an underground mass garage from the fire-protection point of view, overall provision of building technical requirements and technical conditions and compliance of this solution with technical documentation in accordance with the currently valid legal regulations. The assessed gas-tight shelter meets all the requirements of the protective structure as well as the requirements for the fire safety of buildings.
