The topic of the thesis concerns the former industrial area of Dimitrovka and its surroundings inBratislava's Nové mesto. The main subject of the solution is regeneration of the area, architecture, publicspace and its quality for the future. The key issues are sustainability, simple walking with links to theenvironment, ecology, transport, support for traffic, and creating points of interest and places to organizea variety of events throughout the year. As the area is located immediate netx to the Malé Karpaty andrecreational areas with lakes Kuchajda and Zlaté piesky, greenery and nature are a very resonant factor,which I am trying to support in the proposal as much as possible.The design solving the new urban and functional layout of the site. It decides on the values of thebuildings of the former chemical production, which are further supplemented by a new structurerespecting the current layout. As a key solution, the infrastructure, especially rail transport, where I workwith existing train and tram stations, adding new lines and feed the rest of the city and surroundingcommunities.The goal of the study is to create new and sustainable public spaces, to give them a function andto create conditions for a high quality of life for the population, using the appropriate architectural andurban design.
