In this bachelor thesis we expertly deal with the general issue of feline beasts of Slovakia. Its main purpose is to monitor the population density of the Eurasian lynx and the Wildcat in the interest area of the Slovak Karst National Park and the Volovec Mountains. It describes the natural ratio of the investigated area and gives a detailed description of the abiotic and biotic factors of the given area. In the long term, we observe all life forms under conditions of anthropogenically, more or less affected nature, with regard to the studied species. The thesis analyzes historical background and facts. We discuss and work with scholarly literature. We present the results of the monitoring, obtained through the research of the habitation of feline beasts. We create maps of their home districts, expansion areas and population dynamics. In the final section we evaluate our own results in relation to the objective of the work.
