In this thesis, following the bachelor thesis of 2016, we focused on the section of hydrothermal treatment of wood raw material, which is necessary for perfect production of plywood. In the plant A-Z Lokomat, spol. s r. o., Zvolen, Division Kráľova Lehota was reconstructed this production section and the aim of this thesis was to compare selected quality parameters of produced plywood before and after reconstruction of the hydrothermal treatment section. Reconstruction of the steaming pits shortened the time of hydrothermal treatment of wood, which was reflected in the amount of veneers produced, an increase in the proportion of produced AB veneers, the yield of veneers increased slightly and water consumption also decreased after the change of plasticization method. The reconstructed production section of hydrothermal treatment of wood raw material contributed to more efficient production of construction veneers in the plant A-Z Lokomat, spol. s r. o., Zvolen, Division Kráľova Lehota.
