The subject of the bachelor thesis is to introduce the business in the form of start-up and possibilities of its financing. The first part of the thesis explains the basic concepts of business and discusses the legal forms of business in Slovakia. Particular attention is paid to a simplified joint-stock company that was set up to ease start-up business. The second part provides an overview of the start-up business, including the possibility of financing start-ups in Slovakia and abroad. The final chapter of the thesis consists of a brief analysis of the start-ups and examples of successful start-ups.
