The master´s thesis deals with a solution of fire safety of multi-storey timber buildings. In the first chapter is included the overall analysis of the issue consisted of general advantages and disadvantages of the timber buildings, a division of the most used construction systems during the multi-storey timber buildings construction and a comparision of the multi-storey timber buildings construction in Slovakia and in the world. Requirements for the fire safety of the buildings are considered as a part of the analysis of the issue. It is necessary to regard the requirements when solving the multi-storey timber buildings in Slovakia. The aim of the thesis is based on the following analysis of the issue and on the methodology developed under the applicable legislation to develop the fire safety of the multi-storey timber building with a CLT panel construction system. The solution is processed in various alternatives differed in the number of fire floors and the type of construction unit. Consequently, we reached conclusion based on the results. The conclusion is, that with the increasing number of the fire floors in the timber buildings, are the fire resistance requirements of the building structures changing and a specific approach of the fire safety of the building is required for the each floor.
