The proposal of the final Diploma thesis was to design the Polyfunctional house in a chosen location. As a part of the proposal was to define missing services in the location. The final thesis is elaborated as an architectural study, that is at the level of the project for areal management. The site is located in Bratislava in city district Staré Mesto. City block on which the site is located is defined by the Šancová street, Karpatská street, Jelenia street and Palárikova street. The site is triangular in shape. Its southern part is directly at Šancová street. It is also connected to Jelenia street by gap site. Other boundaries are surrounded by built-up area. The goal of the project was to create space for the local people to spend free time, to connect with each other and to enhance their cultural life. The final thesis consists of a text and a graphics part. The graphics section explains and completes the project description in the text section. The final design of the building and its surrounding area creates a quiet zone with a community garden offering quality and safe space for a full-fledged public life enriched by various occasional events. The project fills in an empty part of Šancová street but at the same time leaves the city block open. Chosen services placed within the building communicate with the designed space and are directly related to it.
