This thesis focus on artificial forest regeneration with focus on use of progresive ways and technologies in this field. In theoretical part are summarized about traditional course of action in artificial forest regeneration, but also modern and progresive ones, which are in continual development and testing with goal to achieve secured young forest stand with highest survival of seedlings and their positive growth of their qualitative and quantitive attribute as soon as possible. Practical part of my thesis contains evaluation of progress of reforestation planting material on research plot in Javorie mountains in fourth vegetation period. This research plot was created after calamity and was reforested with bareroot and containerized seedlings of European beech (Fagus sylvatica) and Norway spruce (Picea abies). Planting of seedlings was done in four treatments: Spring (spirng date of planting, Autumm (Autumm date of planting), Spring + Stocksorb and Spring + Silvamix. In results I evaluate quantitative attributes as height, height increments, diameter, but also survival and damage on seedlings, which were optained by direct measurements on research plot and then statisctically evaluated. Results showed that there are any significant differences between treatmennts and on this basis were formulated advices for practical uses.
