The aim of this diploma thesis is to give attention to the necessity of building a public sewerage system in the town of Nižný Žipov. From an environmental point of view, the lack of sewerage infrastructure has a negative impact on the quality of surface and ground water. Until now, the town has been disposing of sewage water from households, technical amenities and services through septic tanks, cesspools and their subsequent export. In the theoretical part it defines the basic concepts, systems and objects related to sewerage disposal. In the practical part, it focuses on the design of a partially divided sewer system with a rainwaterless sewerage system using the SeWaCAD software. The basis for the work was the planimetric and altimetric measurement of the town and the engineering-geological survey of the subsoil. The implementation of the project will increase the living standard of the population, comfort of living and reduce the risk of contamination of groundwater and surface water by substances leaking from the cesspools, which often do not meet the conditions set by the standards. The work includes economic evaluation of the project, hydrotechnical calculations and drawing documentation of the sewerage system design.
