The assignment of the diploma thesis was a proposal of the visitor center building in the area of the National Zoo Bojnice. The proposal of the architectural study was based on detailed urban and operational analyzes of the pre-diploma work, from which the most important determinants for the design of the visitor center building itself emerged. Since it is a national ZOO, the goal was to create a vision for making this complex more attractive and to solve the biggest problems. The proposal analyzes and resolves not only urban and architectural relationships, but also the entire set of ecosystems that must work together in the area of the zoo. In the first phase, the proposal focuses on the reorganization of the entire area of the zoo and the creation of a design manual, setting out the potential for improving its situation, due to its status - the National Zoo. In the second phase of the thesis, the proposal is focused on the main point of the main entrance to the complex, where the visitor center proposal is located as a meeting point for visitors, enrichedby attractive functions - educational block, cafe and gift shop. The center itself offers premises not only for visitors but also for the employees themselves - a new office block. It provides views of individual animal enclosure without disturbing their mental well-being, and views of the National Cultural Monument Bojnice Castle, which is located in the direct proximity of the entrance to the zoo.
