The concept of multifunctional residential building with urban amenities at the Muchovos square in Bratislava has evolved from the pre-diploma thesis, in which I comprehensively planed an urban design zone from the Old Town of Bratislava, linking the two banks of the river Danube with the end at the Muchovo s square. The main idea was to exclude automobile and bus transportation from the Old Town, and use the existing center line to attract pedestrians to Petržalka. While the planned route tram is taken into consideration, attraction of the Old Bridge constructs of park-type adjustments, different art and interactive installations and areas rich in stimuli. This pedestrian zone is ended by the central element -- a staircase that serves as a crossroad and an orientation point for pedestrians. At the end of pedestrian zone is also an object planned in the diploma thesis -- a cultural center with the exact meaning of the former PKO. Besides culture, the designed object also offers catering services, shops, and parts of the object are also multifunctional spaces. At the roof of the building is a park and also a space to do sports. The roof is in the same level with the Old Bridge's walking zone as well as other designed projects - the three towers with a residential capacity.
